English as a Second Language (ESL)
BVCAP’s ESL programs help students learn English for life, work, and community.  The class is designed for English language learners who are literate in their native language but require basic literacy skills in English.

Pre-GED
For students who have academic skills beyond the ABE level but need more work in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.

GED
For students who are ready to focus on the academic areas covered by the official GED tests.  Two GED programs are offered:

Youth Success GED
For youth 16 to 18 years of age.  The focus of this program is on education, career development, and also social skills and character development. This class assists students in attaining the necessary skills to pass all five GED tests in language arts, writing, math, social studies, and science.

Youth Job Readiness Program
Youth Job Readiness Programs are two year programs that serve youth between the ages of 14 and 21.  They receive GED preparation and testing, job readiness skills instruction, responsibility workshops, leadership development activities, paid work experience placement, occupational skills training, job placement or enrollment in higher education/training.  Intensive case management and support services assist students throughout the program and for one year following completion.
